Anderson Speedway
50/50 Drawing for Charity
August 25, 2007

The Anderson Speedway allows non-profit organizations to hold 50/50 drawings during their races.  Although we do not always get picked, we apply each year and this year we were chosen to hold the drawing on August 25th.  This was an especially exciting night to hold the drawing because they held their School Bus Figure-8 race.

The Endeavour sold over $600 worth of tickets, so the lucky winner received over $300 and the other half was distributed between the Hopewell Center Client Council and the family of Noah J. Brown-Smith.  Noah was a local victim of shaken baby syndrome and his family was trying to raise money for a funeral.

One thing is for sure.  When called upon to help the less fortunate, the Endeavour comes through in great numbers.

We would like to apologize to FCAPT Cyndi Jackson.  Since she was the one taking the pictures, we have no pictures of her from this event.

As the sun sets over the Anderson Speedway, we wrap up the charity event and prepare to sit back and enjoy the races.
