Good's Candy Charity Event
"Kid in a Candy Shoppe"
January 25th, 2007
The USS Endeavour attempted their first ticket-sales fundraiser for Goods Chocolates in Anderson, IN. Randy Good of Good's Candies allowed the Endeavour to sell tickets for $10. Those who bought the tickets were entitled to two hours of all the candy, ice cream and coffee they cared to ingest. Along with the goodies, the ticket holders also entertained by a magician and entered into multiple door prize drawings. The ticket sales were supposed to be divided in half with Good's receiving half and the Hopewell Center's Client Council receiving the other half. By January 25th, the day of the event, ticket sales reached $910. Randy Good, in his infinite generosity, chose to only accept $400 for his share, which left $510 for Hopewell. Many ticket holders were pleasantly surprised because they did not count on the local newspaper showing up, the Endeavour in full Star Trek costumes, and a Canadian film crew shooting the whole event for a documentary.
